The makingof a civil servant.
A residential year in Nagpur for the Sindhi community's most committed aspirants — focused teaching, a real test series, and the discipline of living where you study.
Talent is spread evenly across this country. Opportunity is not.
Uday Academy is a residential UPSC academy, founded in Nagpur in 2020 by the Seth Sanwaldas Dewani Charitable Trust — a dedicated place for the Sindhi community to prepare for the hardest examination in India, at fees kept deliberately low.
A few things we do differently
Residential, on purpose
You live where you study. No commute, no scattered hours — a settled, orderly place built around a single year of focused work.
Answer-writing from day one
The Mains is won on paper, not in the head. Our students write to a schedule from the first weeks, every script returned with comments.
Small batches, close mentoring
Few enough students that we know each one — guided through strategy, weak papers and every attempt by a faculty that includes a serving IPS officer.
A day, built around one thing
No drama — just a calm, repeatable rhythm that removes a hundred small decisions, so a student's energy goes to the only thing that matters.

Three stages, and where the rank is built
Two objective papers in May. A screening gate — the marks do not count toward your rank, but you must clear it to go on.
Nine written papers across five days in August. This is where the rank is truly built — structured, timed writing under the clock.
A considered conversation at UPSC in New Delhi — a test less of knowledge than of judgement, balance and clarity of thought.
